Ahhh....Kix. This mother definitely approves!!!!

I could not wait to receive this prize pack because we are huge Kix fans in my house. As a child I can remember eating the original Kix with strawberry milk, yum!   Isaac has been eating Kix since he was 1 and his love for them (and chocolate milk) has never wavered. Pure toddler food! For some reason he likes to pretend  he's a dog and eat them off the floor. Kinda gross but I would totally do that too if I was a kid.(I kinda want to do it now) I heart the fact that they aren't loaded with a bunch of artificial crap and sugar like a lot of other cereals out there. I toss a container of Kix and a juice box into my bag and we are out the door!

Do you remember your first date with your significant other?

The first date I had with my husband was at this Italian Restaurant in 2001. I can't remember the name but it's no longer in business anyway.  I was still on that "new relationship high" so everything was picture perfect in my eyes. We could have had lunch in a junkyard and I would have still swooned at his creativity. (yep I had it pretty bad) We had our fair share of packaged dinners as well, because I think I only cooked him one meal the entire 2 years that we dated. (tip# never show a man ALL the skills you are working with ; )

My review on the Date Night Prize Pack: 

I really enjoyed both of the dinner meals but I we all (hubby, baby, and I) liked the Wanchai orange chicken dinner the best!! Set this dinner out on some classy square black plates and you have an elegant looking meal that tastes nothing like it came from a box. I didn't even have to add any additional things to it like I normally do when I make boxed dinners. I used the $25 gift card to by drink, dessert and some lipgloss (hey yall know how I am about lip gloss) Overall it was a great meal: quick, easy, and tasty! Will make again!

Ok so The Hershey Center for Health & Nutrition, has collaborated with the American Dietetic Association and created Moderation Nation!! (Ahhh I love how it just rolls off the tongue) Moderation Nation! Seriously, say it. You like? 

Anyway, www.themoderationnation.com is full of all kinda stuff to help you stay fit and fabulous! You can still eat your favorite stuff, just do it in, you guessed it, moderation! Moderation Nation provides tons of tools to make it easier for busy peeps to stay fit like seven-day meal planners, healthy snack ideas, and even a meal balancing calculate that takes the guess work out of what to fix with foods you already have on hand.

My Thoughts:
I love the concept of this website! It's neat and clean, very easy to navigate. I was so excited to use the meal balance tool . I selected my meat that I had on hand (chicken) then selected the way I wanted to cook it (baked) and filled in a few more options before hitting submit. It showed my results but no recipes. Maybe it was just my computer or I was doing something wrong but I tried several times. I really love the moderation menus, just wish they were on the site and not in a PDF file. I like how lowfat hershey's desserts are listed on the site. Who doesn't love a good, low-fat chocolate dessert? Sign me up!

Well I ended up serving these brownies for a quick snack. I made brownie sandwiches!  I actually cut the brownies into squares and then cut each sqaure in half lengthwise. I mixed the frosting with cream cheese and sandwiched it between the brownie slices. I wrapped them up in seran wrap and tossed them in the crisper and we've been snacking on brownie sandwiches all week!

My Review:

I made these last night and they were so good. I baked one can for breakfast, served along side with cheese grits, sausage & eggs. For dessert I made the other can by rolling them into balls & frying them in oil. When they were done I  sprinkled on some powdered sugar. Tasted just like a funnel cake! Pilsbury has always been one of my favorite canned biscuits. I'll be buying this new honey butter flavor again.

 My goal was to get bags of frozen peaches, blueberries, & strawberries for my healthy breakfast smoothies that I've been trying to drink every morning.  Instead I decided to give myself a little treat for...... for just being so fabulous...yeah that's it.

(it wasn't until I got home that I thought "why in God's name did I get this lil boy all these freakin cars! These things are gonna be all over the house. *sigh* Pray for me.)

About Tablespoons. com (My Review)

This is a new site from General Mills that lets you share, save & post fabulous recipes. They have some super creative recipes over there. I found this ADORABLE lego block birthday cake recipe that I will be making for my sons 2nd birthday next month. Isn't is cute? He is gonna love it!

I really do love the site. It has a ton of recipes that people can vote on and leave comments which is really helpful. The photos are big & bright. The only snag I found with the site is that it can be crazy slow at times. I thought this was just my computer but I noticed a few other folks discovered this as well. I'm sure it's because it's a new site that is growing FAST and they are still working out the kinks. Either way I'll be sure to submit some of my recipes and check back often.
