Kinilaw Na Talaba Recipe



INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup fresh oysters meat
  • cup vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4-5 native onions (sibuyas-tagalog)
  • 1/2 tsp. peppercorns (coarsely pounded)
  • tsp. salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Slice onions into thin rings.
  2. Add garlic, salt and pepper to vinegar.
  3. Add oysters. Let stand for 2-3 hours.
  4. Note; if you are planning to serve it 5 hours later or more, bring to a boil over a high heat, but remove immediately or the oysters meat would be reduced to pea size.
